The RSO will issue commands, which the ARSOs will pass onto the firers under their supervision. Firers will listen exclusively for their ARSO

Once a relay has completed a firing stage they will swap with the butts party who will then complete the same practices

WEAPONS SAFETY

The following safety points will be observed and adhered to at all times:

All weapons shall be proven safe when picked up or accepted from another individual. If a loaded and readied weapon must be passed from a firer to an ARSO, it shall be kept pointed downrange, passed with the safety on and a verbal warning that is loaded and ready

At no time will weapons be pointed at anyone

If it is necessary to go forward to examine tgts, all weapons will be unloaded and inspected before anyone moves forward of the firing point

No loaded weapon shall be taken to the rear of the firing point, and at no time shall ammunition be taken to the firing point except under the order of the RSO

Weapons will always be pointed downrange while on the firing point

No repairs to weapons will be performed at the firing point. I if a weapon must be repaired, it will be cleared and inspected, then moved from the firing point under the direction of the Range Safety Officer

No one, other than firers, ARSOs and the RSO shall be on the firing point except with permission of the RSO

No weapon shall be loaded, readied or fired except on order of the RSO

No weapon shall be left unattended

When not on the firing point, all weapons will be in the administrative area, as detailed by the Rge 2IC

At the conclusion of the day's firing, all weapons and magazines will be unloaded and inspected before anyone departs from the range
